Track Star Terrell Bush Wins Big

| On 15, Apr 2016

The Commentator recently sat down with senior track star and former Hudson Catholic defensive back Terrell Bush for a one-on-one interview.

Bush is still celebrating his big wins in Kearny on Saturday, April 9. He earned four gold medals in the 4 x 100, sprint medley, 4 x 200, and 4 x 400. He shocked everyone in attendance by coming in first place in every race. Sometimes it seems like Bush himself is shocked by his success in track.

“Tack is kind of something new to me,” Bush said. “I just started running last year, and I love it.”

But when asked about the secret to his success, the young track star had a thoughtful response.

“I’ve always had a winning drive and hate losing,” said Bush. “So when I put my winning drive and work ethic together, boom: that’s how I become a good runner.”

During indoor track, he received All County Honors and was 400-meter Jersey City and state champion. Outdoor track has just started and Bush is looking forward to breaking records.

“I’m looking to take all my indoor accomplishments outdoors and more. This is my last high school season. I’m trying to go out with a bang!”
