On October 22, 2015, Hudson Catholic was swarmed with the familiar faces of America’s favorites: nerds.

Walking down the hall, Student Council Treasurer Dana Picinich’s eyes quickly skimmed over the faces of the freshmen on the first floor. Outfits featured suspenders, high-water pants, long bright socks, and even big geeky glasses. Hudson Catholic’s Spirit Week was in full swing.

The day was quite a success, especially considering the sneaking doubt that nerd day would be as successful as the other school spirit days. Seeing all the smiling faces of the students and the multiple students dressed up as nerds ensured that student council did indeed do an amazing job.

“I was quite happy with how everything turned out!” Vice President Charlee Gonzalez exclaimed. “Everything is going smoothly, everyone is actually dressing for spirit week, and as a member of the student council, this is exactly what I was hoping would happen.”

It seems safe to say that Nerd Day will go down in the books as a go-to theme from here on out.
