Yesterday, I had the pleasure of talking to the very busy Bizzy to get some information and updates about his career. He was not in town, so this interview happened over FaceTime.

He was in a very good mood and seemed excited about the interview. When asked about his role in the music industry, he stated that he always dreamed of being an entrepreneur and making money, not necessarily in the music industry. 

He then told me that he doubled majored in economics and public policy when he attended Rutgers University. 

He talked a lot about sacrifice when asked how he got to this point in his career. He sacrificed time with his family and his down time, he also added that he worked hard.

When asked about the meaning behind Bizzy, he said that the name came from rapper Bizzy Bones, and he stated hat he’s always busy. People used to call him Bizzy Bones, Bones, now they just call him Bizzy. Bizzy told me that it took him his whole life to get to where he is, he said he is in a great position right now. 

When asked about what he does specifically, he responded by saying that he is a businessman. He manages rappers, producers, and DJs. He currently works with Travis Scott, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Chase B, and Wandagurl, among others. He added that he would be willing to work with anyone that comes his way. 

When questioned on the duration of his career, he said that he cannot see it ending and it will continue to excel. Many people are anxiously waiting for Travis Scott to drop Highest in the Room, so I asked him if he could give me a date, and he said “real soon” and that he could not say it in the interview.

He told me that he enjoyed the interview and that he had fun.
