Collegium Institute Visit

On Saturday November 16 the stem club was given a unique opportunity to visit the Collegium Institute in Philadelphia. The visit was exactly what I was expecting when traveling to a college of such high esteem. The entire day was jam packed with activities from live experiments with dry ice to deep conversations about student engagement with stem. The day was not only focused on science but also faith, as we had the chance to meet scientists active in their fields of study who were also believers in Christ. Having such well educated people around us really made me feel the true scope of our faith and of modern sciences.
Many renounce faith when referring to science but we learned about the true connection between the two and how our whole universe is on a scale that is omniscient compared to us. Meeting so many well educated peers was also eye opening for students as we have made many friends who share similar experiences and beliefs. Overall, the visit was spectacular and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an education in stem but also wants to lead with their faith.
A special thanks to Ms. Maderal and Ms. Clappsy for organizing the visit and getting all students involved in the activities.
