John Cahill is Hudson Catholic’s prestige guidance counselor and long-distance track coach. With this being his second year here at Hudson Catholic, he wants to make an impact on the students.

He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for bachelor’s and master’s degree. Mr. Cahill comes from an Irish and Italian household which is where he gets his love of cooking from. He has an older sister with two children and one on the way! He grew up right here in Hudson County but later moved to Bergen County. 

During his free time, he enjoys running, knitting, and listening to audiobooks. His favorite thing about Hudson Catholic is our community. He enjoys that this community is deeply caring and naturally helpful when it comes to the diversity in the city and school culture. 

The advice that Mr. Cahill would give to a student this year would be to “journal or write about your current experiences. You will grow up to appreciate the insight you had then. You will also become a more intrinsic writer when you grow up.”
