The Commentator recently sat down and interviewed senior shooting guard Nalisha Mickens.
Mickens indicated her desire to lead her team into the playoffs this season. Being the only senior on her varsity team, she is looking to leave her mark on Hudson Catholic girls basketball history.
The 5’4″ shooting guard had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and dropped 18 points in her recent game against Snyder High School, leaving with the win 87-42.
She is also getting the job done in the classroom with her outstanding 3.0 GPA and an interest in the Universities of New Haven and Delaware State.
Mickens also shared that she’s into dancing, and she loves to “milly rock” after a win as her celebration dance. Her team is now 9-10, but still looking at a slot in the playoffs. As for Mickens, she continues to work hard in the classroom and on the court.
Clearly this is a smart, athletic, pretty, and “milly rocking” young lady.
