Pray for Texas

Devin Patrick Kelley, the gunman behind the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history had one goal, and it was to kill his in-law.
The local sheriff said he had domestic problems and sent messages to his mother-in-law threatening her. His mother-in-law attended the church Kelley targeted Sunday, but was not inside at the time of the massacre. Although his target was not there, he shot and killed 26 civilians with a rifle at First Baptist church In Texas. The victims ranged in age from 18 months to 77 years old, including the pastors daughter, age 14.
After Patrick Kelley did this outrageous crime, he was confronted and shot by an armed resident. Patrick knew it was over for him so he called his father for help, but it was too late. Kelley took matters into his own hands and shot himself. The authorities found his body inside of a vehicle a couple of miles from the church.
About 4% of the small town’s population is dead. Ten people remain in critical condition. A total of 20 people were wounded, and virtually no one at the church was left unhurt.
“I think nearly everyone had some type of injury,” the sheriff told reporters Monday.
Hours after the shooting, residents of Sutherland Springs hugged one another, held candles, and sang and prayed for peace. Once again, we need prayers. Pray for Texas.
