Hawk to Hawk: Friendship Paranoia
Janae Van Burch | On 26, Nov 2017
Dear Hawk to Hawk,
Ok I feel so weird doing this but I figure what do I have to lose, so here I am. Lately I feel like my friends don’t wanna be friends with me anymore, but like they are being nice still, you know? I feel like they’re fake but are really talking about me behind my back and I have no proof, but I still keep thinking it. Am I going crazy? Is this normal? I don’t wanna tell you if I’m a boy or girl.

Dear Anonymous,
We appreciate you writing in and hope we can help you! It sounds like you might be a little paranoid, which may tend to happen every now and then. If you really feel this way it might be a good idea for you to have an honest and open conversation with your friends about how you feel.
What you’re feeling is totally normal! Lots of people have experienced what you’re experiencing. Another piece of advice we would give is to branch out, make new friends, or talk to people you usually wouldn’t talk to. You shouldn’t be secluded to one group of friends when there is a whole school filled with potential friends!
We hope our advice was helpful and your situation gets better!
