Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one of the most emotionally thrilling and satisfying films of the year, follows new characters Poe, Finn, and Rey, on the quest of a lifetime. The characters all come from different places, yet all find themselves drawn together down the same path. Along the way, they run into old favorites Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Chewbacca as they face a great evil in the First Order.
Led by Supreme Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren, the First Order terrorizes the galaxy in the good old-fashioned imperial way. The Force Awakens signals not only a comeback for what made us all fall in love with Star Wars, but potentially the beginning of something incredibly special. The breathtakingly beautiful journey we take with Rey represents, by far, the best character arc of this movie and she quite possibly could be the best part of the new trilogy.
Beautifully filmed, eloquently acted, and one of the best films of the year, Star Wars is back to form for a new generation. J.J. Abrams’ newest entry in the franchise blends colorful characters with a well-rounded story, which makes for an emotionally satisfying beginning to this new trilogy. A masterful blend of old and new, Star Wars: The Force Awakens brings the magic back and exemplifies a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
